It’s the most wonderful time of year to spend with family and friends and the Peanuts Gang! Charlie Brown, Linus, Snoopy and the crew have taken over this year’s ICE! event at Gaylord Palms.
Based on the children’s classic, A Charlie Brown Christmas, ICE! recreates scenes from the iconic 1965 CBS Christmas special using tons of ice. Each of the scenes in ICE! recreate memorable moments from the Christmas television special from Snoopy’s award winning dog house to Charlie Brown’s choice of Christmas tree.
Each year, Gaylord Palms brings in artisans from China to create the scenes for ICE! Carvers spend over a month building out each scene of the story along with all the Peanuts characters.
When walking through ICE!, take a break and slip down the ice slides. If you’ve ever wondered what if feels like to be a penguin, multiple lanes of ice will give you and the kids a chance to find out.
After taking the tour of ICE!, Charlie Brown, Snoopy and Lucy are available for pictures.
If this is your first time at ICE! be prepared for extremely cold temperatures. The room is kept at a brisk 9 degrees so dress warmly. Parkas are handed out for use at the event, but bring your own gloves as they are a necessity.
ICE! and Christmas at Gaylord Palms runs from November 18, 2016 through January 1, 2017. Ticket and more information can be found at ChristmasatGaylordPalms.com
